Why study Spanish?

Spanish is one of the most widely spoken languages in the world, as well as being the official language in Spain and

Espanol3

Latin America. It is now also used by a large part of the population of the USA.

Our method

Central Point courses teach Spanish as it is spoken and written. They also introduce the student to aspects of Spanish culture and the Spanish way of life.

A group class can be anything from two to ten people, though we rarely go beyond eight. The group environment allows for individual participation and creates an atmosphere of active and dynamic study.

Central Point courses introduce Spanish grammar in manageable chunks, so that the student achieves good reading and writing skills, as well good listening and speaking skills.

ÓIGALO DÍGALO HEAR IT SAY IT ™

Central Point uses the ÓIGALO DÍGALO - HEAR IT SAY IT ™ method which uses teacher led questions and answers to encourage the student to Speak without thinking in their own language. For us, this is the key to fluency. The courses are run in a relaxed and friendly atmosphere, so that students can acquire the security necessary to express themselves and to communicate in the Spanish language.

Our professionals are graduated in Spanish Literature & philology and work with a full range of material to fac

ilitate the learning of this language and the effective use of the Spanish as a means of communication.

We organise diverse activities such as visits to the city, museums or the cinema, and excursions to the coast, to street markets and shopping centres.

We also join in the public events around the public holidays (fiestas) that punctuate the Valencian calendar. All these give the visiting student a chance to practice the language in real life situations and get a feel of Spanish life and cust

oms.

Levels:

  • Basic.
  • Intermediate.
  • Advanced.
  • Professional improvement - work (for college students, professionals and people in business and public service).

The three first levels are divided in 5 units. The units complement each other, so that a student can join a group working on a unit appropriate to their level of Spanish.

The intensive courses for students from abroad are combined with cultural activities.

The teaching units provide the basis of a course, which are added to or adapted for particular situations, with the objective to improve and to extend the linguistic capability of the students.

  • Group or Individual.
  • Regilar classes of 1½ hour each, twice a week.
  • Intensive clases of 25 hours a week.
